Dually is proving himself in the breeding pen; just look at the consistency of his foals in the slider gallery. In addition to putting big hips and pretty heads on his foals, his most notable quality is that they all just love people from the day they're born. They are proving to be easily trainable, yet super sensitive to get to that "next level" of competition. In Sepember (2023) a two year old daughter was 6th in the 2 year old Ideal Ranch Horse competition at the Ranch Horse Extravaganza in Mason City, Iowa. Danielle Hamilton, started and rode her in the futurity (Danielle's first!) and we're super proud of their showing! Another two year old is owned by a neighbor and is already handling obstacles and a three year old is carting around grandkids. If you want quiet AND athletic, Dually will sire that for you. He's for sale because we're cutting back numbers and don't need four stallions!
With the youngest of our children off to college, we find ourselves with a lot more work so it's time to pare down a little. We also need to make room for several young mares coming into production next spring. We have limited space so a few need to find new homes. These mares, with the exception of one maiden mare, have already proven themselves to be excellent producers. We're proud of them and the contribution they have made to our program over the years. All are easy to handle and easy to catch if you don't stir up the whole group. They will tie for as long as you need and trailer well.
We seem to be getting more demand for prospects a little older than foals so we've been picking up a few and saving some of the younger foals back in order to have more available. These youngsters are handling very nicely already and have seen some groundwork. They're quiet and nice to get along with.
